Psycho-Pass

O.o…The action anime this month isn’t all that bad…[for me at least..]

Anyways, Psycho-Pass is not bad…o.o…

Summary : In the near future, it is possible to instantaneously measure a person’s mental state, aggression level,  personality, and the probability that a person will commit crimes with a device called the Psycho-Pass. When this probability, measured by the “Crime Coefficient  index is too high in individuals, they are to be apprehended with lethal force if necessary. This task is performed by a special team composed of Enforcers,  selected criminals in potential who pursue other criminals, and Inspectors, police officers making sure their Enforcers don’t take things too far. Each Enforcer and Inspector holds a special weapon called “Dominator”[which looks really cool and reminds me of some kind of mini transformation Gundam…], designed to fire only on those with a higher than normal Crime Coefficient. [Adapted from Wikipedia. owo”’]

The story follows Enforcer Kogami Shinya and Tsunemori Akane, who must solve and manage crimes in this dark future.

Dominator. Basically this gun makes sure that you fire appropriately. If it’s sets to basic mode, it will use Paralyzer. In which case you just take the criminal into custody and the case would be closed. There’s also the Lethal Eliminator mode. When that mode goes on, it just means to say that the offender isn’t needed in the world and would be best eliminated.

Enforcers. Their Psycho-Pass Crime Coefficients exceeded a specified value. They are people of Bankrupt character and normally would be isolated as latent criminals. However, they’re allowed into the outside world with the sole purpose of flushing out criminals just like themselves. Basically, they’re like hunting dogs. To sum it up, the Enforcers are just the underlings of the Inspector. Thus when the Inspector feels that they’re going too overboard the Inspector can shoot them to paralyze them too. [Enforcers are criminals after all.]

Well, it highlights on the stuff about the near future, and on how the police would have such high-tech devices(?) o.o…

  1. Well, that sounds like a great idea, but I already see two ways in how the story will likely develop: 1) the hero becomes selected for elimination and must use all his wits to escape or 2) the system is either flawed or manipulated by the government in order to crush dissent, which makes it incumbent on the hero to take them down. But, both of those plot lines sound like fun. 🙂

    1. o.o…didn’t really think that much about how it would continue on…..but yeah, both plot lines sound good…I don’t know…but from the 1st episode I’m thinking that it would go with the 2nd plot line…After all, the anime is about Psycho-pass and judgement and all…..guess we’ll have to wait and see…owo
