Ano hi mita hana no namae wo bokutachi wa mada shiranai : We still do not know the name of the flower which we saw on that day
I don’t know whether my translation is accurate or not…but I think it’s like that…o.o
As read from several reviews, Anohana is probably one show which may easily make you cry your heart out…
I only cried at the last episode…[yeaps I did cry..T^T] But the last episode was so heart-wrenching I couldn’t stop myself from crying and sniffling…..The rest of the episodes are just…..okaaay I guess.o.o
The plot mainly goes on about these 6 close friends who grew up together. However, one day, Menma [Meiko Honma]-the one in that white piece- died in an accident when they were all still young. That accident caused the others to slowly drift apart. 10 years after the incident, the leader of the group, Yadomi Jinta, withdrew from society and lived as a recluse. However, things changed when one summer day, the ghost of Menma appears before him, asking for her wish to be granted.
As Menma forgot what her wish was, Jinta has to gather the other estranged friends together once again, believing that they are the key to resolving this problem. Along the way, hidden feelings, internal conflicts, and lingering feelings of bitterness from the people close to Menma, result in complications for the group as they struggle to help not only Menma move on, but themselves as well.
In the last episode, I don’t know about you, but I felt these overwhelming waves of emotion coming from it..T___T…The seiyuus did a good job expressing the emotions of the characters….QwQ
